Provided structural design and construction administration ser-vice
for a 90-foot-tall mobile trussed steel tower providing access
to the vehicle while on the launch stand. The entire structure can
be moved on rails to the stowed position to allow for launch of
the vehicle. Design included analysis for reduced wind loadings
while in movement and maximum wind and seismic loading while
in the stationary position. The trussed tower consists of an inner
stairwell with access to enclosed work platforms and a clean room.
The platforms rotate vertically to allow movement of the tower
away from the vehicle.
