FTF is serving as the Structural Engineer of Record for SFO’s West Field Cargo Ground Service Equipment Building 742, a progressive design-build new construction project consisting of an approximately 22,300 square foot single-story steel-framed ground service equipment maintenance building with 20 airside service bays. The facility includes staff access from adjacent parking, dedicated pedestrian circulation, and a fire truck turn around for emergency access. The exterior design pairs a pre-cast concrete base with insulated glazing and varied metal panel finishes, and incorporates clerestory daylighting and rooftop photovoltaic panels as part of the sustainability strategy.
