Entirely reorganized the Federal Inspection Service zone on the arrivals level — a highly constrained, 24/7 operational environment with complex passenger flows. Optimized office space for CBP staff and passenger areas to transform a labyrinth of spaces into open, light, airy spaces with intuitive wayfinding. Achieved aggressive sustainability goals. In-Transit Passenger Lounge area. Converted Baggage Claims from domestic to international arrivals with related passenger flows and baggage conveyor support system alterations. Converted existing immigration spaces into office space and other CBP and airport-required functions, demanding careful structural assessment of existing load paths and extensive coordination and 3-d modeling. Installed SFO’s first Automated Exit Lanes. Dianne Feinstein Gallery – a curated museum space honoring the naming of the International Terminal after Senator Feinstein, along with a new large sign greeting passengers at the departures level driveway. Extensive coordination in ACC with Gensler, McCarthy and sub-contractors.
