Confidential FinTech Office Renovation

San Francisco, CA

Market: Commercial

Size: 124,547 SF

Architect: Huntsman Architectural Group

This tenant improvement project involved structural engineering services across three floors of a historic commercial building in San Francisco’s Financial District for a leading financial technology company. Working in close collaboration with the architect of record, FTF provided structural solutions to support a comprehensive interior renovation, transforming a warm shell condition into a dynamic, full-build workspace designed to accommodate approximately 350 employees at opening, with capacity for future growth to 690.

The scope of structural work included mechanical shaft penetrations through existing concrete floors, slab demolition at lower-level restrooms for new plumbing infrastructure, review of glazing and partition systems, MEP equipment support and bracing, and ceiling-supported Nana Wall systems at conference rooms. All design was performed in accordance with the 2019 California Building Code and local amendments. FTF’s expertise in navigating the complexities of an existing structure ensured the integrity and safety of the building while enabling a modern, high-performance workplace for the client.
